Nursery

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Parents, so that you may enjoy your Sunday School & Worship time, we provide warm, nurturing, well-supervised childcare for infants and toddlers during all of our services. Age range for Nursery is infants to 3 years. They graduate on their 4th Birthday!

What’s in store for my child?

There are many great things your child can be a part of at Hopewell Baptist Church. From participating in Sunday School and Junior Church, Wednesday night Kingdom Kidz Club, and going to Junior Camp in the summer – the opportunities for your child to learn and have fun are limitless.


Sunday School Classes

Individual classes teaching the Bible with fun methods. We utilize visual aids and object lessons to help make the lesson real in the children’s lives. All of our teachers have been trained in how to teach the truths of the Bible at a level the children can understand and retain.


Junior Church

A great time for children to not only learn from God’s Word through teaching, but through songs, activities, skits, and much more. Our teachers are well trained, encouraging class participation and individual achievement.


Kingdom Kidz Club

Every Wednesday evening service, while you enjoy prayer and Bible study with Pastor, your 4 year old thru 4th grade children will enjoy our fun club.  They will learn verses, have lessons, play games and get prizes from the treasure box!


Junior Camp

Each year in August we provide the children an opportunity to go to Junior Camp. The Junior Camp is located near Lassen National Park about fifty miles east of Redding, California. This Monday through Friday camp includes sleeping in cabins, eating at the chow hall, listening to Children’s preachers, participating in exciting skits, swimming in a lake, Ping-Pong, hiking, team competition, and Scripture memorization. Juniors can earn their money for camp by participating in fund raisers.

Students & Youth

"Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the believers."

Our goal is to help our teenagers understand the Bible for life’s questions, find true friendships, real purpose, and direction for their future. God really is on the side of teenagers and wants to help them and have a personal relationship with them. We have teen Sunday school, monthly teen activities, as well as attend an annual youth conference and Mt. Zion Baptist Camp in order to support this goal. Come join us and have fun that creates good memories, hilarious moments, and awesome friendships! 

Coast Guard

"And there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother." ~ Prov 18:34

Our Military Ministry is designed for families and singles to fellowship with like-minded believers. We encourage military service members and their families to grow in Christ while at Hopewell, and share what they have learned in their travels serving God and Country.


We provide transportation from most military bases and have monthly fellowships to help keep up morale.


We also provide care packages for deployed service members if you give us their FPO.

Christian Counseling

Many times, people in the world try to find the answer to life’s problems in all the wrong places. We seek to answer your questions based solely on the principles and guidelines found in the Word of God. Our Christian counseling ministry helps people who struggle with the following things:

We have the opportunity to reach the Nepali-Bhutanese population of the East Bay. Our people have the opportunity to have Sunday school class in their language and thru the use of translation devices can hear the sermons in their own language as well.
